Firewood

Mosaic offers firewood cutting opportunities as part of a sustainable approach to forest management. Firewood Cutting Permits can be purchased to cut firewood at designated locations on weekends only for personal use, such as heating a home.

Firewood cutting locations change weekly based on the availability of wood, weather conditions, and operational schedules. This web page is updated on Thursday’s for the following weekend.

Each year, Mosaic donates the proceeds from the sale of firewood permits to a deserving community organization. In 2024 Mosaic’s matching donation of $20,000 was shared among four community-focused non-profit organizations on Vancouver Island.
