Mosaic Statement: Employees Work from Home to Support Social Distancing

Mosaic Forest Management has announced work from home measures consistent with the recommendations issued by the Federal and Provincial Governments in response to the COVID19 virus.

While no Mosaic employees have been directly impacted by the virus, the company leadership believes it prudent to institute provisions that increase social distancing for staff.

Business functions will continue, with most employees working remotely. The very few employees that require office presence will benefit from greatly reduced occupancy. Forest-based operations including log hauling and reforestation programs are continuing, with direction to employees and contractors to observe health authority recommendations.

“We understand that this is a stressful time for everyone in our communities, but we can support each other and our health system by following the recommendations of our health authorities,” said Mosaic President and CEO Jeff Zweig. “By having most of our employees work from home, Mosaic is supporting efforts to “flatten the curve” and assist in our collective response to this virus.”

During this period, all Mosaic general contact numbers and email addresses remain in effect and will be monitored as usual. For information or in case of emergency, please call the general switchboard line at 250-716-3700.

In addition, the company recognizes that there may be an increased interest in outdoor recreation. We will keep our website updated to ensure everyone knows which areas have active operations and those which are open for safe and responsible public access.
