Mosaic Firewood Sales Mark New Season For Corporate Giving
Nanaimo, BC — Mosaic Forest Management this week announced the start of a new firewood cutting season, with permits for firewood cutting at designated locations on Mosaic private forest lands available for purchase online.
Mosaic’s firewood program gives local communities access to affordable firewood for personal use like home heating. Every year, thousands of firewood permits are sold across Mosaic managed forest lands with the proceeds donated to a deserving community organization.
In 2019, Mosaic matched permit sales for a $20,000 donation to KidSport BC, a non-profit organization supporting youth sports.
“Supporting local communities is important to us,” said Mosaic President and CEO Jeff Zweig. “Our neighbours appreciate the access to affordable firewood, and by matching and donating the proceeds, we are able to support families across Vancouver Island and in the coastal communities where we operate.”
