Today marks Mosaic Forest Management’s fourth annual Season of Giving campaign. This year, Mosaic will share $40,000 in support to 40 community and school food programs throughout Vancouver Island and Haida Gwaii.
In recognition of Mosaic’s commitment to forestry education and its profound impact on the future of the profession, the University of British Columbia honoured this partnership by renaming the main lecture theatre in the Forest Sciences Centre the Mosaic Forest Management Lecture Theatre (formerly the Fletcher Challenge Theatre).
Mosaic is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Camping Photo Contest! Our 2023 contest saw photographers of every skill level submit their favourite images of BC’s wild west coast for a chance to win one of three, 7-day camping passes valid at any one of Mosaic’s 13 scenic campsites.
Mosaic held its third annual company-wide National Day for Truth and Reconciliation learning event for employees, contractors, and families on September 7. The guest speaker was Bob Joseph, founder and President of Indigenous Corporate Training. Bob has been instructing individuals and organizations on effective Indigenous relations for almost three decades and provides training to all Mosaic employees.
Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business (CCAB) recognized Mosaic Forest Management with the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Gold certification, making it the first and only timberland owner in Canada to achieve this standard of excellence.
Mosaic Forest Management is recognizing forestry contractors and employees throughout Vancouver Island for taking proactive steps to reduce their safety risks and achieve excellence in environmental and workplace performance.
