Mosaic Forest Management has renewed an agreement with the Municipality of North Cowichan to support a planned rowing facility on Quamichan Lake. The agreement allows access to Mosaic’s lakebed to install the key infrastructure needed for a new National Training Centre. The facility will be operated by Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA).
Mosaic Forest Management announced today that it has renewed its access agreement with the Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club (NMBC). The agreement grants a five-year extension to the partnership that began in 2017, giving access to mountain bike trails in Nanaimo’s Doumont trail network, which runs through Mosaic’s private land base.
On Saturday, April 22, Mosaic Forest Management marked Earth Day 2023 by joining an annual cleanup event led by the Ladysmith Sportsmen’s Club. The effort saw Mosaic’s employees and community volunteers collect tonnes of illegally dumped garbage from Mosaic’s private forest lands near Ladysmith.
Nanaimo Search and Rescue (SAR) and the Mid-Island ATV Club (MIATVC) recently held a joint training exercise under the access agreements both organizations have with Mosaic Forest Management. The event took place near Lucid Lake, southwest of Nanaimo, an ideal location for training. Close to 30 Nanaimo SAR and MIATVC members volunteered for the exercise.
Mosaic Forest Management announced today that it has renewed its access agreement with Mount Washington Alpine Resort, extending the partnership that began in 2016 between the two organizations. The agreement offers Mount Washington access to roads, Nordic trails, and outback areas on Mosaic’s private forest lands.
